It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jean-Denis (Johnny) Leclair on March 17, 2016 at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost sixty years, Fay Oswick. Proud father of Bob (Mary-Lee), Lynn (Marc) and Teresa (Ignacio). Cherished grandfather of Mario, Shelley-Ann, Jonathan, Adam, Sarah and Ciara. Treasured great-grandfather of Jaden, Damian, Louis-Félix, Justine, Zoe and Henry. Predeceased by his parents Romuald Leclair and Armance Belair, his sister Lucille and brother Marcel. Leaves behind his siblings Jeannine, Marguerite, Audrey, Yvan and Yvon. Fondly remembered by his extended family and many nieces and nephews. Johnny worked at Marelan for forty-four years as a machinist and tradesman. He loved life and his family, and he loved cars. He was a man of exceptional kindness, friendliness, and warmth. He never passed a person on the street without saying "hello," or forgot a friend on their birthday. He was the first to go out of his way for others. He always saw the good in everyone and never forgot the people he met. He treated everyone with tremendous respect and affection and put nothing but warmth and positive energy out into the world. He helped everyone see the best in themselves and in others. The best way to remember and honour him is to continue to share the same decency and kindness that he gave so generously to us all.
