Obituary
BIGELOW, Dawson December 1, 1941 – May 5, 2020 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son, father, grandfather, and uncle at the age of seventy-eight. Predeceased by his devoted wife, Norma, and his younger brothers and sisters, Ernie, Connie, Debbie, Myles, and Murray. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Grace; children: Carey (Brian) and Darren (Claudia); and grandchildren: Liam and Nathan; and many nieces and nephews. He always enjoyed a laugh while visiting his family and friends. Dawson and Norma especially enjoyed visits from their grandchildren, Liam and Nathan. Dawson was a very modest, kind, hardworking person who was always willing to help others. As a residential contractor, Dawson was known as a professional renovator, which included renovations on heritage homes in Montreal. He helped fulfil many homeowners’ dreams by transforming their homes into a better living experience. We have solace in knowing Norma and Dawson are at peace together. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Desforges Funeral Home, 188 rue Principale, Grenville, QC - (819) 242-2113. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Montreal Chest Institute Foundation (mcifoundation.ca) for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) would be greatly appreciated. Condolences may be sent online by visiting www.desforges.ca.
