On Friday, March 7th, 2014 at the age of 67, our dear Joe passed away in the embrace of his family. Beloved husband of Heather (nee Lessard), loving father of Alexander (Jessica McGillis) and Benjamin (Fiona Scott), caring Grandpa to Maria and Daniel and dear brother to Susan. He was a long-time manager of Canadian Uniform in Hawkesbury which led him to extensive travel experiences in Mexico, Brazil and Pakistan. A dedicated family man, Joe loved people and was a man of many interests. He always had a project on the go. After retirement he continued with his interest in Feldenkrais therapy and a renewed interest in painting. Originally residents of Avoca, a move to the family lake in 2007 brought him closer to his extended family. Joe was an active member of the Anglican community of St Matthew’s in Grenville. He will be fondly remembered by all. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Desforges Funeral Home, 188 rue Principale, Grenville, QC (819) 242-2113. Funeral Service will be held Saturday March 15th 2014 at 11 AM in the St-Matthew’s Anglican Church. Burial at a later date. Condolences may be sent online by visiting www.desforges.ca.
